Services and history

Edgwick Machine Works has emerged as the leading manufacturer of noodle machines in the nation, with a rich history that traces back to the 1940s. The company's roots stem back to the original patriarch of the family business, Tan Han Chin, a visionary from Amoy, China, established a machine workshop in the hopes of catering to the needs of his fellow taipans who had also migrated from China. These taipans required machines for their burgeoning restaurants and various product ventures.

In those early years, the machine workshop operated as a vital resource, providing innovative and high-quality machinery to support the growing Chinese community in their entrepreneurial endeavors. The Tan-Gallardo family patriarch, Tan Han Chin, possessed a deep understanding of the importance of machinery in enhancing efficiency and productivity. He harnessed this knowledge to foster strong relationships with his taipan friends, who relied on his workshop for their machine requirements.

As time progressed, the 1980s saw the next chapter unfold in the family's legacy. Tan Han Chin's sons, driven by their individual aspirations and entrepreneurial spirits, ventured into the world of machine manufacturing and founded their own workshops. This marked the diversification of the family's expertise, with each son contributing their unique talents and ideas to the burgeoning industry.

Among the sons, Edmundo Tan Gallardo, the youngest of the siblings, played a pivotal role in shaping the future of the family's machine manufacturing ventures. In the early 1990s, he established his own machine workshop, ETG Machine Works, which would eventually evolve into the renowned Edgwick Machine Works.

Under this leadership, ETG Machine Works flourished and gained recognition for its commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. The company became synonymous with excellence in the field of noodle machine manufacturing. Edgwick Machine Works specialized in crafting an extensive line of industrial noodle machines, offering a comprehensive range of equipment to facilitate every step of the noodle-making process.

The product line boasted an array of state-of-the-art machinery, including dough mixers to ensure the perfect consistency, noodle rollers to shape the dough, noodle slitter assemblies to create uniform noodles, noodle steam conveyors for precise cooking, noodle brick oven installations for authentic baking, and noodle fryers for achieving the ideal texture. Edgwick Machine Works dedicated its efforts to developing innovative solutions that met the evolving needs of noodle manufacturers and revolutionized the industry.

Through unwavering dedication and a commitment to quality, Edgwick Machine Works solidified its reputation as a trusted and reliable manufacturer. The company's machines found their way into countless restaurants, food production facilities, and noodle manufacturers across the nation, serving as the backbone of their operations.

Today, Edgwick Machine Works continues to push the boundaries of noodle machine manufacturing under a new name and new consolidated company, Athena Halcyon.
